Electronic Resident and Visitor Parking Permit System
Effective October 1, 2008, Verano Place started using an electronic parking permit system whereby vehicle license plate numbers are used for enforcement of resident and visitor parking. We will refer to them as e-permits. Each contract holder has been given an account with Parking and Transportation Services (P&TS) to manage his/her resident and visitor e-permits.
IF YOU ARE A NEW RESIDENT AND NEED TO ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT:
Please follow steps 1-6, even if you do not have a vehicle at this time. Activating your account allows you to register your visitor's car.
If you have a car, please follow the directions for number 7.
- You will receive a temporary password in your email box
- Click on: https://www.parking.uci.edu/permitless/login_verano.cfm
- Log in with your UCI email address and use the temporary password that you received from Parking and Transportation.
- Read and accept the terms and conditions.
- Create and enter your own password.
- Enter/verify your personal information

- These permits may only be used for vehicles that are registered to you or another person listed on your Housing lease/rental agreement. If you have been given long-term use of a vehicle that is not registered to you or another person in your household, the owner may add your name to the registration by following DMV procedures.
- Submit to the Verano Place Housing Office, a copy of the current DMV vehicle registration for each vehicle .
- Please write the contract holder's name and apartment number on the upper right hand corner of the document(s) to prevent possible confusion.
- Paperwork may be submitted one of three ways:
- Mail to-

- Drop off in the office (during office hours), or put through the mail slot beside the front door (when the office is closed)

VISITOR PERMITS
- You may use up to 30 VISITOR
e-permits each quarter. Any Visitor e-permits left over at the end of each quarter will expire and 30 new VISITOR e-permits will be issued to you at the beginning of the quarter.
- To give your visitor parking permission, log on to your Parking & Transportation account. The option to add a visitor is on the left hand side menu. Add the license plate number of the visitor's vehicle number for the date(s) required. You can activate your visitor's permit in advance. But if you add the person on the day of the visit, you will not be able to remove them.
- Once activated, a permit is valid until 12 midnight for that day. Two days of permission must be assigned and are required to provide overnight parking for visitors who arrive before midnight.
- One e-permit may only be used for one vehicle at a time, but can be sequentially assigned to several vehicles on that day.
- For example: One (1) e-permit may be used for vehicle A from
8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for vehicle B from 3:05 p.m. to 7:30 p.m and for vehicle C from 7:35 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.
- You can use as many permits at a time as you wish, however, you only have 30 permits per quarter.
- Visitors must park in spaces marked "Visitors".
