Community and Recreational Facilities

Community Centers: All residents have access to two community centers, each of which can accommodate up to 100 people. Each facility has a kitchen, is furnished with sofas, tables, and chairs, and is suitable for a variety of functions. Reservations are taken at the Verano Housing Office.

Tables & Chairs are available for you to borrow : Verano residents can reserve up to 5– 5ft tables and 20 folding chairs. Please contact the Verano Housing Office at 824-5964 if you would like to borrow these items for free.

Verano Cyber Cafe: Stop by and surf the web, or make use of fax, photocopy and printing services for a nominal fee. A variety of recreational and housekeeping equipment can be checked out at the Cyber Cafe as well. The Cyber Cafe is also a good place to find information about events in Verano, on campus and in the community.

CV Facility Services Play Areas: Several playgrounds for children are located throughout the community. In addition, there are several large grassy areas ideal for outdoor play. The Community Park -- located on California Road -- has a full-size basketball court and two handball courts. A half-size basketball court is located outside the Commons Community Center.
