UCI Child Care Services coordinates five child care programs:

UCI Affiliates (students, staff and faculty) interested in obtaining child care support should apply for enrollment immediately since the waiting list for each center is lengthy. Fees are subsidized at some centers. Please call Child Care Services at (949) 824-2100 for additional information.
Verano Place Child Care Programs
The Verano After School Program provides after school child care for children of UCI affiliates (students, staff and faculty) who are in kindergarten through sixth (K-6) grade. Priority is given to the children of Verano Place residents. The program is open from late September through late June (with the exception of academic holidays and quarter breaks). Operating hours are Monday-Friday, 2:00 - 5:30 pm. The program opens at 1:30 on Wednesdays to accommodate district minimum day schedules.
Regular activities include sports, games, crafts, homework assistance, daily snacks and occasional field trips. Children must be registered to participate. Registration packets are available at the Verano Place Old Rec Center (3300 Verano Place) during program hours.
The Verano Summer Camp provides a day camp experience for school-age children. Regular activities include swimming lessons, arts and crafts, sports, weekly field trips, family events and daily snacks. Children must be registered to attend and space is limited.
Program dates coincide with the academic calendar for summer session. Program hours are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with extended care available from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm for an additional charge.
