Palo Verde Parking Renewal process

Effective July 15, 2008, Palo Verde began using a “permitless” system where license plates are used for the enforcement of resident parking spaces. Residents requesting valid parking permissions will be given their own account with Parking and Transportation (P&TS)who will now manage Palo Verde parking privileges. The paper hang-tag permits expired July 14, 2008.

Application Instructions (for current garage and residential parking permit holders):

  • Complete the application.
(Note: Leave the “For Office Use Only” spaces blank.)
  • Make a COPY of your CURRENT DMV vehicle registration document for each vehicle listed on the application and submit these copies to the Palo Verde office. Do not send the original registration document. (A copy machine is located at the Cyber Café in Verano Place.)

Activation of Account

Parking permissions will be activated only for vehicles that are registered to the PV contract holder, the contract holder’s parents, domestic partner, spouse, or other's listed on the contract holder’s rental contract.  If you have been given long term use of a vehicle that is not registered to you or someone listed above, the registered owner may add your name to the registration by following the DMV procedures for the state in which the vehicle is registered.

Permit Expiration: Palo Verde resident permit(s) will expire on the DMV registration expiration date. Please bring a copy of the updated registration to PV Housing office. Permits will become inactive after your DMV registration exipration date. Accounts with multiple vehicles will have an account deactivation date of the earliest expiration date from the registered vehicle(s). Failure to provide evidence of your vehicle's renewal registration prior to the expiration date will result in citation and deactivation of your account.

If you are in the process of renewing your vehicle registration and have yet to receive your decal from the DMV, you will need to contact the Palo Verde Housing Office to make the necessary arrangements.

  • Submit your completed application and COPY of the CURRENT vehicle(s) registration to the Palo Verde Housing Office. Paperwork may be:
    • mailed or
    • dropped off at the Palo Verde Housing office (during business hours)

2008-09 VISITOR PERMIT PROCESS

Please watch for updated announcements in the weekly PV Press newsletter.

Effective October 1, 2008, Palo Verde residents will also be able to manage their visitor permit(s).  Visitor permits will be managed using a "permitless" system where license plates will be used for enforcement of parking.

Residents will receive an email from P&TS (hermes@pts.uci.edu) that they must read and accept to activate their account.  Residents may access their account using the same password that was originally sent from P&TS or click here for link: https://www.parking.uci.edu/permitless/login_pv.cfm.
