Gandalf’s Classroom
I. Roll Call
II. Spring Fling Information and Volunteer Sign-ups: Caroline Chang and Kevin Suh
· Will be held Thursday, May 29 from 4:30 to 8:15 p.m.
· Carnival style out on Pelennor Field.
· There will be a bounce house, henna tattoos, a dunk tank, live bands, and a BBQ provided by Pippin.
· We need lots of people to help.
· The Spring Fling will end the Penny Drive that starts next week. There are penny stations set up in Pippin. The hall with the most pennies will win. Silver coins in other halls will cause that hall to lose points.
III. Announcements
A. CC Banquet
· When: Wednesday, May 28th, 2003, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
· Meet in Gandalf’s at 6 p.m.
· Where: BJ’s Pizza in the Tustin Marketplace
· Cost: Nothing, just bring yourself.
· We need drivers!! See Mila after meeting to volunteer to drive.
· Official and non-official delegates can go!!
B. Activities
· Surf Lessons: Saturday, May 24, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick up info sheet in Housing Office.
· Sign ups on Friday in front of Pippin at 5. Bring your ID card.
· You’ll need to sign a waiver, a Pippin pack out sheet. Everything is provided. There will be a trained lifeguard on duty.
C. Services
· Blood Drive next Thursday, May 22: tabling this week for donor signups.
· Penny Drive at Spring Fling: proceeds go to AIDSWalk of O.C. Will be on Sunday, June 1st from 9 to 11 a.m. Our goal is $500 dollars. You can volunteer to walk or just help out. Sign up with Karen after meeting.
IV. Open Floor
· Priyanka Thairani: Can we have a pippin tray to paint silver for the hot dog eating contest? Answer: Probably not. But we can get like 5,10,15 dollars In & Out gift certificates.
· SURPRISE BY OUR DELEGATES!!! The CC delegates stopped the meeting, put on some music, and presented the executive board with a cake that had a huge picture of us execs on it. AWESOME!!!
V. Committee and State Fair Planning
· State Fair will be held on June 4th, from 3 to 7 p.m.
· We’ll have a Petting Zoo on the Balin grass. A swap meet by the Shire wall. A mechanical bull in Gandalf’s courtyard. A hot dog eating contest in front of Woodhall (10 people). We’ll have various state fair games such as sack racing, egg tosses, etc in the huge walkway in front of Housing Office.
