· There will be 17 acts.
· Asked delegates to help with PAIR set-up. He passed around a volunteer sign up sheet.
· Set up volunteers guaranteed to have seats for PAIR.
· Asked for one delegate to be a judge. Priyanka Thairani, Jason Amansec, Ilene Paik, Jimmy Tong, Andrew Tan, and Patrick Thatcher expressed interest in being a judge for PAIR.
· Kristen Clark: How competitive was the audition process?
· Richard Huang: Very competitive, over 30 auditioned, which is more than last year. So it was harder to get accepted. This year there will be a variety of acts, very diverse.
· Is CC interested in performing a skit for PAIR?
VII. Open Floor:
A. Mardi Gras Floats:
1. Volunteers to take charge of floats? Laurie Andress of Hobbiton and Kelsey Rico of Calmindon will be in charge of the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter float. Kevin and Lisa Ly of Shadowfax will be in charge of the Tropical theme. Nimish will be in charge of the masquerade.
2. Ideas? Suggestions? Do the times we’ve arranged work for you? We need to go on a cardboard hunt.
B. Fundraising Ideas? (Krispy Kreme donuts?)
1. Likely option: Do a test run on Thursday, March 6th and see how it goes and then possibly sell them during finals week, 10 p.m. each night.
2. General consensus among delegates that this is a good idea.
3. Pippin has finals treats as well, so will this be a major conflict?
4. Priyanka Thairani: Should we serve coffee as well? We should also keep in mind that 9th week may not receive the same response as finals, when people are all “crazy.”
C. Anything else? What’s going on in your halls? Gripes? Comments?
1. Andrew Tan from Grey Havens: Could we get condiment and straw dispensers in Pippin?
2. Laurie Andress: Hobbiton is having a Commando game.
3. Lauren Woon: Whispering Wood has study breakers at 10 p.m. on Wednesdays. A suite organizes a fun activity that goes for about an hour.
4. Ben Leong: Shadowfax is having “Shadowgrams”.
5. Esther asked the above delegates to see her after the meeting to tell her about the stuff going on in their halls, so newsletter could do an article on hall activities.
VIII. Break into committees. Those who don’t need the extra time may leave. Email the rest of CC with any new information your committee may have.
