  3. Committee Updates
    • Activities:
      • Valentine’s Day card making/Origami workshop this Sunday, February 9th at 7 p.m.
      • Activities is currently working on the car maintenance program coming up on February 27th.
      • Interested in Surfing lessons? Nimish has contacted a surfing instructor and found out it would cost about $30 for a 3 or 4-hour lesson. Delegates were asked how much residents would be willing to pay for surfing lessons; consensus was that residents would pay probably no more than $15.


    • Facilities:
      • Committee is working on the smoking issue, weighted shower curtains, peep holes in Phase 3, vacuums in every hall, and parking.
      • Our next guest speaker will be ResDining.


    • Newsletter:
      • February issue out!! Yay!!
      • Submissions for next month’s newsletter are due February 15th.


    • Services:
      • Valentine’s Day Candy Gram Sale the 10th – 13th. They will be sold Monday thru Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Brandywine and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in front of Pippin. 75 cents per card. If you’d like to help out with selling the grams, please sign up after the meeting or at the Housing Office. We also need help delivering the grams between 1 and 3 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.
      • Blood Drive moved to Thursday, March 6.


  4. One cluster update: Identity Development cluster´s “Bored Game Night” tonight in Crickhollow from 9 to 11 p.m.

  5. Dance with Mesa - Karen: February 21st? 9 p.m. to 12 a.m.
    • Karen will chair dance committee. Sign up to volunteer. We need help with publicity, setup, cleanup, etc.
    • We have $300 we can offer right now. Probably need funds outside Middle Earth and Mesa Court, maybe from ASUCI, Dean of Students, and Vice Chancellor.
    • Dance will be in Mesa Court Community Center, in three different rooms. There will be shuttles from Middle Earth to Mesa. Variety of music such as trance and hip-hop. Popular UCI bands performing.
    • Lauren Woon: I’ve talked with several people from my hall, and I’d say there is about a 85 –95% of people in favor of the dance and saying that it would totally be awesome.


  6. Positions for next year’s CC executive board. - Martin
    • Applications come out week 7.
    • Information session week 9.
    • Elections will occur week 3 of spring quarter.
