2. Introductions:
   
   
   • Laura Barrantes: Middle Earth Programs Coordinator
     • She is in charge of the CBP (Community Building and Planning) Staff
     • She loves us.
     • Her friend, Andy from Maine, will be on Dawson’s Creek tonight. She has chosen to be with us instead, being stuck with only a recorded version of tonight’s episode.
     • Laura´s Announcements: 1) ResDining wants residents to sample new desserts next Tuesday in the Tolkien Room from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Signups after the mtg. 2)Housing wants to conduct a resident focus group. Four people needed from each phase on November 6th. Signups after the mtg.
     
     
     
   • Kristen Clark: Programs Advisor
     • She explained what CPs (Community Programmers)do. Each CP has office hours, so come and talk to them. Give them ideas for programs/events.

5. Constitution and role of delegates - Nimish
   
   
   • There are two roles: 1) be a committee member in CC (planning, volunteering) and 2) be a liaison between your hall and CC (communication)
   
   
   
6. CC Retreat - Esther
   
   
   • Purpose: to build teamwork, learn your roles, and have fun.
   • Information:
     • Dinner Friday (6 p.m. - 10 p.m.)Voting Delegates meet at Gandalf’s Classroom
     • Ropes Course (High Wire, Uphill soccer, Blind Maze, Teepee Shifting, etc.)
     • Saturday at Rancho Capistrano (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.): Voting Delegates meet in Gandalf’s at 8 a.m. for a light breakfast.
     • If you’re a voting delegate and you can’t attend of Friday and/or Saturday,make plans for an alternate to take your place
     • Bureaucracy: fill out and return the 2 liability waivers and 1 medical form. Return them on Friday when we meet in Gandalf’s before going to dinner. Sign the Pippen pack out list, which counts toward 1 meal.

   • Activities: Don’t Worry About ME this Sunday night.
   • Facilities: Trying to get recycle bins in all halls
   • Newsletter: Submissions of any kind welcome
   • Services: Blood Drive on Oct. 28th. Signup w/Karen at end of mtg.

   • ME Basketball Tournaments - COME AND CHEER YOUR HALL ON!!
   • Halloween Contest Week 5. More info to come.
   • Inside UCI this Saturday. Signup with Kristen at end of mtg to show off your room.
