Graduate and Family Apartments
Palo Verde Apartments house roughly 1,070 students (some with families) in unfurnished apartments. One-, two-, and three-bedroom units are available, as well as a small number of studios. Apartments are equipped with stove and refrigerator, window coverings, carpet, internet, and cable television service. Electricity and telephone service are not included in the rent. Residents hold annual leases (ending June 30) that may be renewed pending eligibility requirements. The community houses mainly graduate, medical, and law students, plus a smaller number of undergraduates over the age of 25 or with families.
Palo Verde is located on the east side of campus, within walking distance of classes, a shopping center, and the Anteater Recreation Center. It has an organic community garden and plenty of green space and community facilities for studying or social gatherings. Housing Assistants are available during non-office hours, and the Palo Verde Residents Council advocates on community issues and hosts social events throughout the year.
