Accommodations & Facilities

Hotel UCI is hosted in the Campus Village apartment community, located near the Science Library, the College of Medicine, and the Biological and Physical Sciences buildings. (See quadrant F4 of the UCI campus map.)

Hotel UCI offers single occupancy rooms in two-bedroom, one bathroom furnished apartments with:

Equipped kitchen (refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishware, silverware, and cookware)
Living room
Dinette area
Two single beds per bedroom
One bathroom per apartment
Daily housekeeping and linen service on weekdays
Local telephone service
Internet access, cable TV, VCR, DVD, and stereo

Apartments are not air conditioned, but tend to stay comfortable, thanks to coastal breezes. The campus is located five miles from the coast.

Apartment Type

Private Apartment: An individual reserves the entire apartment for one guest or a group of up to 4 guests.

Bed Types

There are two different types of beds in Campus Village--'Captain' beds and 'Loft' beds. You will have the opportunity to request a bed style; however, we cannot guarantee the availability of your request. We will try our best to accommodate your needs. Please note that we are unable to mix bed styles within an apartment. You can only have all lofts or all captains. Click here to see pictures of each bed type.

Loft – Bunk bed style furniture with the bed above the desk. For this furniture style you will need to climb a short ladder.

Captain – Captain beds are the height of a normal bed.

Payment

Payment in-full is due at time of check-in, and can be made in the form of cash, personal check, travelers check, money order (payable to UC Regents) or university recharge.

Visa and Mastercard payments will be accepted as a form of payment, but the processing of a Visa/Mastercard payment must occur at least 10 days prior to check-in date. You will be asked to provide your Visa/Mastercard information on your confirmation form in order for us to manually process this information. We will not accecpt credit card payments at the time of check-in.

Check-In

Check-in time is between 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. daily. Check in at the Campus Village Community Center located next to Parking Lot 13. Requests for special arrangements, such as early or late check-ins, must be made in advance by contacting the Hotel UCI staff.

Check-Out

Check-out is between 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. daily. Please contact the Hotel UCI staff to make special arrangements for early or late check-outs.

Keys

Keys to the apartments are issued at check-in. Guests may check out one key for each assigned occupant. All keys must be returned by 11:00 a.m. on the day of check-out. Guests will be charged $45.00 for lost keys.

Parking

Parking permits are required in all parking lots surrounding Hotel UCI. One-day permits may be purchased for $7.00 from the Hotel UCI staff at check-in. For longer term permits (weekly, monthly, entire summer, etc.), contact the Parking and Transportation Office at (949) 824-7486, or visit their Web site at: www.parking.uci.edu. The Hotel UCI staff will be happy to provide assistance with purchasing a parking permit when you arrive. Mail can be picked up at the Campus Village Community Center during regular operating hours posted on the front doors. Identification is required to pick up mail.

Telephones & Internet Access & Cable TV

Telephones with free local calling are provided in all apartments.
Phone cards to make long distance calls may be purchased at the UCI Bookstore on campus and at many other local establishments.
A pay phone is located in front of the Campus Village Housing Office.
Internet access will be available in each apartment for guests who have their own computers with a network card installed.
Cable TV is provided free of charge in each apartment with 50+ channels to choose from.

Smoking & Pets

All Campus Village apartments are non-smoking. Guests are prohibited from smoking inside the apartments and in any university buildings. Also, Hotel UCI guests are not allowed to have pets of any kind. Thank you for your cooperation with these policies.
