Second annual sand castle day

Does your team have what it takes to build the best sand castle? Show off your artistic and sand sculpting talents on Saturday May 3! GUSH will be sponsoring it's 2nd Annual Sand Castle Day event at Corona del Mar beach. Transportation, building supplies, and lunch will be provided at the beach.
Tentative Bus Schedule:
Please be sure to check the day of the event to confirm: Buses will run approximately every 45 minutes starting at 10:00am. Buses will depart from the following two locations:
Flag poles: In front of the Admin Building
Arroyo Vista: At the Green Shuttle Stop located across California Dr.
Prizes! The winning team of each category will receive a $100 Visa Check Card
Most School Spirit: The sand castle creation demonstrates the most school
spirit.
Most Creative: The sand castle creation that is the most original and creative.
Best Overall: The sand castle creation that is judged to be the best overall
design.
Schedule of Events:
10:00 - 11:00 am: Buses Transporting Residents to the beach
11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Sand Castle Building Competition Takes Place
12:00 - 1:30 pm: Lunch
1:00 - 1:30 pm: Judging
1:30 - 2:00 pm: Awards will be presented to winners
2:00 - 3:00 pm: Transporation back to UCI
Official Rules:
- Only ONE team can win for each cateogory
- Your team must have at least five people - we will combine teams with less than five members
- There is NO limit to how many people you may have on your team
- You will have a 10 x 10 foot area to construct your sand creation and are more than welcome to bring anything you wish to help with the construction.
- Buckets and shovels will be provided by GUSH
- Building must occur between the hours of 11am and 1pm on Saturday May 3.
