Writing and Library Research Peer Tutors are available Monday through Thursday evenings from 6 – 9 p.m., week 2 through week 10, in Mesa Court’s Community Center Cyber Lounge.

The service is staffed by a team of seven Peer Tutors who have received over 22 hours of training from a writing and tutoring professional and a professional librarian.  For more information, visit the Writing Peer Tutors Web page using this link.

Faculty Programming

Meeting faculty members outside of the classroom is a great way to become inspired about your education and gain confidence when approaching your professors. Students living in Mesa Court will have a variety of opportunities to interact with UCI faculty outside the classroom and lecture hall, right here in your community. Check the Event Calendar for scheduled faculty programming in Mesa Court.

Table Talk
Mesa Court has a new initiative called the “Table Talk Series.”  This new program connects first year students with exciting and invested faculty.  Professors are scheduled to come into Mesa Court and have a meal with our residents in the Mesa Commons.   "Table Talk" gives first years in Mesa Court the chance to learn about faculty in an informal atmosphere, and to discover how faculty became interested in their academic areas.  It's also a great way for residents to get advice and a different informed perspective about classes and college life.

Classes

Mesa Court offers unique opportunities to enroll in 'for credit' classes held in residential classrooms and hall living rooms. Humanities Core and University Studies discussion sections, human development classes taught in some of our theme communities, and Freshman Seminars taught by UCI Faculty are all offered in Mesa Court.

Check out the current classes being held in Mesa Court.
