FYI activities provide first year students with opportunities to:

 

BE SMART! - Develop Intellectual Competence

  • Interact with faculty in and out of the classroom.
  • Develop and utilize effective learning strategies/study tools.
  • Develop an on-going relationship with an academic advisor/mentor.
  • Develop a peer based intellectual community.
  • Recognize the connections between and across academic disciplines.
