Campus Village Facilities & Services
Living Facilities
All Campus Village apartments accommodate four residents and feature two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room and kitchen/dining facilities. Both furnished and unfurnished apartments are available.
All apartments come equipped with:
- Refrigerator
- Stove/oven
- Microwave
Additionally, furnished apartments include:
- Bedrooms - Bed, dresser, desk, lamp and chair for each resident
- Living Room - Sofa, chair, coffee table, two end tables, and a lamp.
- Dining Area - Table and 4 chairs
Public Community Facilities
- Community Center - including a fitness room, game room, television room with a large screen TV, VCR, and Satellite dish, computer lab, administrative offices, and two large seminar rooms that can be reserved for special occasions.
- Two Laundry Rooms - Open 24 hours to all CV residents
- Three Study Rooms - Open 24 hours to all CV residents
- Basketball & Sand Volleyball Courts
Parking and Bicycles
- Bicycle racks - are located outside every first floor apartment, and on the exterior of most public buildings throughout the community. Bicycles are not be locked to stair rails.
- Parking - is located around the perimeter of the community in Lots 13, 16, 16AE, 16AW, 16B, 82, and 83 where spaces have been reserved for resident parking only. Permits are required and can be purchased by telephone, mail or in person at the Parking and Transportation Office (949.824.7486) or visit www.parking.uci.edu. Visitors can use the few metered spaces located directly in front of the Campus Village Community Center in Lot 13 or can purchase a guest permit at any of the kiosks around campus, the closest is in Lot 16.
Telephone and Ethernet (Internet) Connectivity
Multiple telephone lines are available in each apartment. Residents may choose to share lines with their roommates or have personal phone lines in their bedroom.
High speed computer (Ethernet) lines are available for each resident. All lines are active, so all that is required is to plug in and register the computer. For more information about getting connected, visit the ResNet website.
Fire Prevention
Smoke and heat detectors are installed in the living room and hallway of each apartment. If the smoke detector should start beeping or malfunction, please turn in a work order, and the maintenance staff will repair the problem immediately. Do not disconnect or tamper with the smoke and heat detectors.
Fire extinguishers are located inside the dining room closet in each apartment, and on the outsides of each building. If you notice a fire in a building, pull the fire alarm stations on the outside of the building. The inside smoke detectors do not activate the alarm bells for the entire building.
Facilities and Maintenance Services
The Campus Village Facilities Staff are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m and weekends 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
We are available to assist you with:
- Work orders - Work orders may be submitted online, or by visiting the Campus Village Housing Office, or the Community Center, or by calling 824-7491 between 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday, or 824-7496 between 5pm and 11pm, Monday-Friday. Emergencies are handled immediately, and all work orders should be addressed within 48 working hours. When work is completed, the maintenance or housekeeping staff will leave a door tag indicating when and what type of work was completed. We encourage residents to give feedback on maintenance work by offering a chance for dinner and a movie in a monthly drawing open to all residents who return their door tags to the CV housing office.
