What you need to know!

  • Non-Guaranteed students may apply for housing in April 2012.
  • Housing Options for Guaranteed Students: The application will ask you to rank six options. It is

    important that you research your options before you apply. See below for chart

    • Arroyo Vista theme houses (Sept-June contract)
    • Campus Village apartments (June-June contract)
    • 4 American Campus Communities: Vista del Campo, Vista del Campo Norte, Camino del Sol and Puerta del Sol (12 month contract starting in June, August or September). Apply directly with each community.
  • Apply for Arroyo Vista and Campus Village through the Housing Gateway. There is no cost to apply.
  • Housing offers are based on space availability and are made in application date/time order.  Housing preferences are not guaranteed.
  • Do you want to live off-campus next year?  The Anteater Housing Network is a great place to begin your search for off-campus housing options.

 

Housing Contracts

  • 2012-13 Arroyo Vista and Campus Village Housing Contracts have been completed for guaranteed students. Contracts offers to the housing waitlist will begin in June and continue throughout the summer as spaces become available.
  • 2012-13 ACC leases will be completed beginning in January, 2012. Leases are completed either in person or by mail, and there is no reservation fee required. First month's rent will be due the month before your lease term begins. Contact those communities directly for information.

What are the main differences between the housing communities?

The chart below highlights specific features of each housing options. Costs listed are for 2011-12. Rates for 2012-13 costs are not yet determined.  Average payments listed for ACC are examples only of the less expensive units, and some apartment types have higher rents. Check community Web sites for more information.

Housing Guarantee for Veterans, Reservists (including National Guard) and Active Duty Service Members.*

Eligible service members, reservists, and veterans are guaranteed an offer of on-campus housing for four years or Normal Time To Degree (whichever is greater). The housing guarantee applies to both eligible students who are single and those with families. The housing guarantee will remain in place if a degree program is interrupted by a deployment. Service members should register with UCI Veteran Services, http://www.dos.uci.edu/veteran/ in order to learn more about available campus resources.
