New for 2010-11!

  • More Housing Available in 2010-11!! Because of reduced freshman enrollment this year, Housing will have hundreds more spaces to offer to continuing students next year. Priority placement will go to guaranteed students, however, all currently enrolled students are encouraged to apply.
  • Residence Hall Option Currently enrolled freshmen can apply to live in the residence halls (Mesa Court and Middle Earth) for 2010-11! Other housing options for guaranteed students include Arroyo Vista, Campus Village, Vista del Campo, and VDC Norte.
  • Arroyo Vista Process Made Easier  Applying to live in Arroyo Vista is easier this year! Only one brief essay will be required when you submit your theme house preferences (separately from your housing application). And Arroyo Vista has newly renovated buildings!
  • New On-Campus Community In Fall 2010, American Campus Communities will open Camino del Sol, a new privately owned apartment community across from Vista del Campo. This community will house primarily juniors and seniors and is NOT part of the Two Year Guarantee or the Continuing Student Housing Application process. Contact Vista del Campo for information. • Follow "UCI Housing" on Facebook and Twitter and get timely updates and reminders.

Eligibility for Guaranteed Housing

Freshmen who live on-campus for the entire first year (2009-10) are eligible to apply for guaranteed housing for the 2010-11 academic year.

Students in the Campuswide Honors Program, as well as Regents and Chancellor's Excellence Scholars are also eligible for guaranteed housing.

Continuing students who are not eligible for guaranteed housing can still apply to get on a 2010-11 housing wait-list for Arroyo Vista, Campus Village and Residence Halls (current freshman only). We expect to be able to begin offering to the waitlist in winter and spring quarter for fall 2010.
