Arroyo Vista Summer Housing

IMPORTANT: Please review all the information below before applying. Contracting is time-sensitive.

Who is eligible for a Summer Contract?

Arroyo Vista offers summer housing contracts to students between the ages of 18 and 25, who are currently enrolled at UCI (during Spring Quarter), OR planning to enroll in summer session, OR accepted for Fall Quarter. UCI students do not need to attend summer school to live in AV during the summer.

When are Contracts Available?

Summer Session I and Full Summer contracts are available beginning April 16, 2012 through May 25, 2012, Summer Session II contracts may be available until July 6, 2012. All contracts are offered on a first-come, first-served basis while spaces last.

• Pre-Summer Addendum: This addendum is no longer being offered or accepted.

• Pre-Fall Addendum: The last day to purchase a Pre-Fall Addendum is August 10, 2007. Only students who have been offered contracts for Summer Session II or Full Summer Session AND submitted a 2007-08 Arroyo Vista Housing contract are eligible to purchase the Pre-Fall Addendum.

 

• Full Summer Session: Contracts will be placed on waitlist status starting June 1, 2007 or until spaces are filled, whichever is sooner. These contracts will only be available for pick-up in the Arroyo Vista Housing Office.

 

• Summer Session I: Contracts will be placed on waitlist status starting June 1, 2007 or until spaces are filled, whichever is sooner. These contracts will only be available for pick-up in the Arroyo Vista Housing Office

 

• Summer Session II: Contracts are available until July 13, 2007 or until spaces are filled, whichever is sooner.

 

• International Applicants: Eligible for Summer Session II contracts. All contract materials must be received by July 24, 2007.

When are Contracts DUE?

Summer contracts are time-sensitive. DO NOT complete the online application until you are prepared to make the payment.

• Orange County, CA Residents will have three (3) Business days from submitting an application to pick-up and submit the contract with payment to the Housing Cashier's Office. Failure to do so may VOID your contract.
• Outside of Orange County - Arroyo Vista will mail contracts to applicants living outside of Orange County. Applicants Outside of Orange County, CA will have typically one (1) week to return their contract and payment to us or the contract may be voided.
• Students currently living in Alaska, Hawaii, a U.S. Territory or outside of the U.S.A. - Contracts and payments must be received by the Housing Cashier's office no later than May 25, 2012.

When Can I Apply?

The online application opens April 16 and closes on 12PM, July 6, 2012. You can expect the process to take about 10-15 minutes (average) to complete.

Additional Notices: Greek Summer Housing Students selecting to live in an OPEN Chapter House must sign a Full Summer Contract. If minimally 50% of the bed spaces are not contracted for, the house may be used for general summer housing. Construction in Arroyo Vista Please be advised that there will be construction and renovation work occurring in and around the Arroyo Vista community throughout the summer. As a result you can expect noise, dust and an increase in traffic and work crews. Be advised of the following clause in the Arroyo Vista Summer Housing Contract, IV. University Responsibility. D. Construction and Renovation: Capital improvement and other major housing construction or repair projects will necessarily cause increased noise and dust in affected and nearby residences at certain times. As a result, it may be necessary for the STUDENT to be reassigned to a different house in Arroyo Vista. By signing this contract, the STUDENT acknowledges advisement of the possibility of increased noise and dust during such projects as well as the possibility of reassignment to a different house and accepts housing assignments accordingly.
