Verano Place Unit 4 Reconstruction Scope: Replacement of 100 unit IV apartments with four new buildings (400 beds). Status: Project plan was approved in spring 2010, and demolition of seven of the unit IV buildings begins in September, 2010. Project completion is scheduled for fall 2012. |
Verano Place Unit 6 Renovation Scope: 36 buildings total; project will replace exterior building lighting, roofs, plumbing, kitchen cabinets, floor coverings, light fixtures and window coverings; refurbish bathroom sink, tub, exhaust and lighting. Status: Apartments will be renovated as they are vacated during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 academic years. |
East Campus Phase III Scope: Three sites are being developed: Two housing complexes and a parking structure. A total of 1,763 beds and 2,150 parking spaces will be constructed. The parking structure will be located adjacent to the Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) and will offer some parking to ARC visitors. Status: COMPLETED. Middle Earth Renovations: Phase 1 Buildings Scope: Installation of fire sprinkler system, renovation of bathrooms to improve function, replacement of floor coverings and light fixtures, and replacement of all building infrastructure: electrical system, water supply and waste piping, heating system, hot water heater, roofing system and drains. Status: COMPLETED. Halls re-opened for fall, 2010 |
Mesa Court Renovations: Unit 1 and Unit 2 Buildings Scope: Installation of fire sprinkler system, renovation of bathrooms to improve function, replacement of floor coverings and light fixtures, and replacement of all building infrastructure: electrical system, water supply and waste piping, heating system, hot water heater, roofing system and drains. Status: Proto-types COMPLETED, summer 2010. Nine halls in Unit 1 scheduled for renovation in summer 2011 and 4 in Unit 2 scheduled summer 2012 .
