Mesa Court Repair of the Unit IV first floor handicapped showers Scope: Demolition of current shower floor and drain unit and complete rebuild of one shower in each of the three first floor bathrooms in 10 buildings. Verano Place Unit 4 Renovation Scope: Replacement of wood siding, roof, fire alarm system, carpet, and any remaining water supply piping that is original to the building. Status: A proto-type of the renovation at building 6100 was completed September 2008. The results are being evaluated and planning is ongoing for the remainder of the project. |
Verano Place Unit 6 Fire Alarm Replacement Scope: Replacement of existing fire alarms with a new system that will comply with current code for audibility and provide for improved emergency response directly to the building. Status: COMPLETED |
Arroyo Vista Renovation Scope: Repairs of construction defects in the original 35 buildings will include reconstruction of showers, bridges, stairs, roofs and damage associated with water intrusion. East Campus Phase III Scope: Three sites are being developed: Two housing complexes and a parking structure. A total of 1,763 beds and 2,150 parking spaces will be constructed. The parking structure will be located adjacent to the Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) and will offer some parking to ARC visitors. Status: Construction has underway on all three sites. Middle Earth Renovations: Phase 1 Buildings Scope: Installation of fire sprinkler system, renovation of bathrooms to improve function, replacement of floor coverings and light fixtures, and replacement of all building infrastructure: electrical system, water supply and waste piping, heating system, hot water heater, roofing system and drains. Status: Proto-type renovation completed on two buildings during summer 2009. Construction on remaining 5 buildings is planned for 2010 (possibly starting in Spring quarter with the vacant hall). |
